Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
PreviewFirst Sites ("we," "us") builds websites for local service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who processes it for us, and how to contact us about it. It applies to previewfirstsites.com, our emails, and our client projects.
1. Information we collect
- Information you send us: when you use our website form or email us, we receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, business name, website or Google listing, and your message.
- Project information: if you hire us, we collect what's needed to build your site, such as business details, service areas, photos, logos, text you approve, and access details for your domain or hosting that you choose to share.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email, the amount, payment status, and limited payment details (for example, card brand or bank name and the last four digits). We do not receive or store full card numbers or full bank account numbers.
- Public business information: to prepare free homepage concepts, we use information that businesses publish publicly, such as their website and online business listings (business name, phone number, services, service area, and public ratings).
- Technical information: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver and protect the site. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run analytics or tracking scripts on this site. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.
2. How we use information
- To reply to inquiries and prepare the concept you requested.
- To provide services you buy: building, reviewing, launching and supporting your website.
- To send scopes, invoices and payment links, process payments and refunds, and keep business and tax records.
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
3. Service providers that process information for us
We use the service providers below to run the business. Information is transferred to them over encrypted connections when you use our site, email us, or pay us, or when we use their tools to do our work. They process it on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
| Provider | What it does for us | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, domain name services (DNS) and security | Technical data from site visits; website files |
| Web3Forms | Receives website form submissions and forwards them to our email inbox | Everything you enter in our website form |
| Zoho Mail | Hosts our business email ([email protected]) | Emails and attachments you send us and our replies |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Name, email, payment details, amounts and payment history |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI tools we use to draft replies, prepare concepts, and build and test websites | Inquiry and project content we work on, such as names, business details and messages |
| Upwork (only if you hire us there) | Marketplace contracts, messaging and payments | Information you share on that platform |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
4. How we protect information
- Our website is served only over HTTPS (encrypted connections).
- Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, so card and bank numbers never pass through our systems.
- Access to our business accounts (email, hosting, payments and form service) is limited to the business owner and the tools she authorizes. Each account is password-protected.
- Our website form uses a spam filter, and we don't ask for sensitive information such as financial account or government ID numbers. Please don't send it to us.
- We keep only the information we need for the purposes above.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
5. How long we keep information
- Inquiries that don't become projects: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client project files and correspondence: for the life of the project, plus up to 3 years so we can support your site.
- Payment and tax records: as long as required for accounting and tax purposes (generally up to 7 years).
- Service providers: they may keep data for the periods described in their own policies.
6. Free concepts based on public information
Concepts are built only from information a business publishes publicly. They are shared only with that business and are never published without its approval. To ask us not to prepare a concept for your business, or to delete one, email us.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep certain records, such as payment records, where the law requires it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
8. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
9. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
10. Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date.
